Meet the Rest Day

The Dakar Rally will make on January 11 a one day stop to rest and to prepare the vehicles for the second part of of the race.

On this 4-Day Tour you will see the stunning views at the Edge of the World, the rally on the stage reaching Riad, you will visit the Dakar Paddock and attend in the briefing for the first stage after the rest day.

The Edge of the World is one of the most stunning places round Riad and Must to Visit in Saudi Arabia. To reach only by a 4x4 vehicle.

Tour Offer and Program

The Ride Xpower Meet Dakar Visitor Tour round the rest day of the Dakar is offered as a 4-day trip in a 4x4 the participants drive by themselves. We will see the racers on the stage reaching Riad (depending on the rally program) and the mechanic teams in the paddock preparing the vehicles for the second part of the Dakar. You will attend the briefing for the next stage after the rest day.

This trip will give you an idea how hard is the Dakar Rallye, the visits in the paddock shows you the professionality of the teams preparing the vehicles for the 15 long and extreme race days. Every day we bring you into the dunes on a 4x4 adventure offroad tour.

Program of the 4-day Visitor Tour

Day 1 - January 9
Arrival in Saudi Arabia and airport pickup. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.

Day 2 - January 10
Full day 4x4 offroad tour to the Edge of the World. In the afternoon we will catch up the racers at the a spectator point reaching Riad (if the rally program allows us to meet them). Dinner together and overnight in a hotel.

Day 3 - January 11
Half day 4x4 offroad tour in the desert round Riad, in the afternoon we visit the paddock on the rest day and you will participate in the briefing for the next stage. Dinner together and overnight in a hotel.

Day 4 - January 12
Airport transfer and Departure.

Difficulty Level of the 4x4 Offroad Drive

On our way to the Edge of the World and to the race track we will drive offroad. The difficulty level of the tour is moderate and will be accommodated to the riding and driving level of the group. You will get an introduction to driving the 4x4 on sand and in the desert. There are some challenges ahead for those who know how to drive a 4x4 on the sand and for those who want to try it with our guides.

Accommodation

We will stay in a comfortable hotel with breakfast and dinner.

4x4 Rental

On this trip a shared rental 4x4 is included. Max 4 persons in a car.

Travel

The airport for arrival and departure is Riyadh. We pick you up at the airport on arrival and shuttle you on departure on the scheduled arrival and departure days of the trip.
